Hardwood is mostly derived from deciduous fine-leaved forests, including oak, mahogany and birch, red oak, hard maple, red oak, eucalyptus, and boxwood. Usually the price is higher, but the quality is better than cork. Its color and texture vary widely, but due to the continuous destruction of tropical rain forests in recent years, the shortage of hardwood sources has resulted, and most suppliers now only purchase such wood from well-planned, certified reforested forest land.
The Hardwood used in plywood core is uaually eucalyptus.
