（1）Know that plywood has front and back. The plywood should have clear wood grain, smooth and clean front, no roughness, and a smooth and non-sluggish hand feeling. There is a difference between the front and the back of the splint.
（2）Understand the advantages and disadvantages of plywood. The plywood should not have flaws such as damage, bruises, bruises, joints, etc. The length of resin and black gray leather within 15 mm should be less than 4 per square meter; the resin with the length of 150 mm and width of 10 mm should be less than 4 per square meter; the number of horny knots (live knots) should be less than 4 per square meter. Less than 5, and the area is less than 15 square millimeters; there is no dense dry hair and cracks more than 200 mm x 0.5 mm.
（3）Feel it with your hands. Lift one side of the plywood with both hands and feel the tension of whether the board is flat, uniform, and without bending and warping.
（4）Pay attention to the seams. Individual plywood is made by pasting two veneers with different textures together, so pay attention to whether the joints of the plywood are tight and whether there is unevenness.
（5）Pay attention to the plywood that has been loose glued. If the sound is crisp when knocking on various parts of the plywood by hand, it proves that the quality is good. If the sound is muffled, it means that the plywood has appeared loose glue. Or use a wooden stick about 50 cm to lift the plywood and tap each part lightly. If the sound is symmetrical and crisp, it is a top-grade board; if there is a mute sound of "shell", it is likely to be due to degumming or Internal quality problems caused by bubbling. This kind of board can only be used as a lining board or top and bottom board, not as a fabric.
（6）Pay attention to whether the plywood has a color difference. The plywood should have no obvious discoloration and color difference, the color should be uniform, and the texture should be consistent. Pay attention to whether there is decay and deterioration.
（7）Pay attention to the color of the wood and the color of furniture paint. Generally, ash and linden wood plywood is light yellow, which can be used to make furniture. Basswood plywood can be divided into different shades. There is no problem with light-colored finishes, but darker ones can only be made of water chestnut-colored furniture, not light-yellow furniture, otherwise, the color of the furniture will be dark. Although the dark color can be washed with ammonia water, the effect is not satisfactory after treatment. After several years of use, the color of the furniture will still change and deepen.
（8） Check relevant documents. Obtain the plywood test report and quality inspection certificate from the merchant. The formaldehyde content of the plywood should not exceed 1.5 mg/L before it can be used directly indoors, and the plywood that is not more than 5 mg/L can be used indoors only after finishing treatment.
