OSB board is made of small-diameter timber, thinned timber and wood core as raw materials, processed into wood chips (generally 40-100mm long, 5-20 mm wide, and 0.3-0.7 mm thick) through special equipment, after deoiling, drying, and sizing , Directional paving, hot press forming and other processes made of a directional structural plate.
OSB full name is Oriented strand board, it is a widely used multi-functional engineering wood board, made of a variety of wood chips arranged by waterproof heat setting adhesives and cross-directional layers. Its strength and properties are similar to plywood, resistant to deflection, warping and torsion.
Its surface layer shavings are arranged longitudinally, and the core layer shavings are arranged horizontally. This crisscross arrangement reorganizes the wooden texture structure, completely eliminates the influence of the internal stress of the wood on processing, and makes it with extraordinary ease of processing and moisture resistance. Because the OSB has a directional structure inside, no joints, no gaps, and cracks, the overall uniformity is good, and the internal bonding strength is extremely high, so both the center and the edges have super nail-holding ability that ordinary plates can’t match.
